Just in case you walk by Phog when live music is happening and think “I don’t need to go in there, that place looks like a dive”, let me just tell you that you’re dead wrong. Not only was it voted Best Venue in Canada (thus earning the ability to put on Phog Phest for the last four years), it is also ranked among the Top Five Venues in The World by a B.C. news paper. It isn’t the NY Times or anything, but that’s probably in the future. Phog is one of the most important places in this city, and even though I slacked in going for awhile I now find every opportunity to get there. Support local music and support Canadian music and support Tom and Frank and everyone who makes Phog what it is. Also, the pizza.
